Rosslare Harbour is the south east of Ireland and is a main passenger ferry Port for sea crossings to and from Fishguard in Wales, and continental Europe.
Driving from Dublin to Rosslare is simple, take the N7 and M7 motorways west and exit left on to the M9 after about 40kms.
Follow the M9 on to the N9 road, bearing left at Kilgowan to get onto the N81 north of Baltinglass.
Drive south and carry on to the N80, N11, and N25, which runs to Rosslare harbour and then carry on driving down the road to Rosslare town centre.
Rosslare is in the South East Region of Ireland
The south east region of Ireland is made up of the counties of Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford. The important towns are Clonmel, Carrick, Waterford, Kilkenny, New Ross, Enniscorthy, wexford and Rosslare Harbour. As well as interesting coastlines the area has a great interior, made up of five river systems: the Barrow, Blackwater, Nore, Slaney and Suir. These rivers and their tributaries criss cross the area making lush fields, good fishing and walking.
There are plenty of places to visit including; Mediaeval Kilkenny, and City Rock Of Cashel in rental car from Waterford or a hire car from Rosslare.
